National Diploma in Computing Level 6
The National Diploma in Computing Level 6 prepares students to pursue a rewarding career in the global Information Technology and Computing industry. It also gives students advanced standing for further studies at degree level in this area. On successful completion of this course, students will have an in-depth understanding of the concepts and principles of software development, network administration, database administration and project management. 2 years (6 trimesters)* Course Content: The course is made up of a total of 27 unit standards of which 16 are delivered in year 1 and the remainder in year 2 of the course. Over the duration of two years, the students will gain skills in the following areas: Year 1:

The course is delivered by industry qualified teaching staff through lectures, tutorials, and practical assignments. Certification Pathways: The course prepares students for MCSE certification and MCDBA certification from Microsoft. Students will have to pay an additional exam fee for the certification exams. Entry Requirements:
Advanced Standing: Students having an MCSE or CCNA certification or equivalent may be able to gain Recognition of Prior Learning for 100 to 120 credits, reducing the duration of the course to 3-4 trimesters.
